OEWeek Live: Open Education Week Wrap Up (and What’s Next?)

This is the last of the OEWeek Live! sessions for Open Education Week 2025. These webcasts are set up as informal conversations. For each show we invite a group of open educators willing to have a discussion that lacks an agenda and slides with bullet points.
These conversational sessions start with sharing of their current projects, activities, and interests but flow into general discussions of what is happening in the world of open education. We also will share some perspectives on what we saw this week- there’s too much for any one person to know – and talk about maybe we can happen in the upcoming year.
Guests confirmed so far include:
- Peter Musser (ISKME/OER Commons) on what we created through the OEWeek open assets collection efforts in OER Commons
- Heather Ross (University of Saskatchewan) on openness in general and specifically on open educational practices at USask
- Brian Lamb (Thompson Rivers University) on the OpenETC (Open EdTech Coop) and sharing open tech, open pedagogy, the role of open in a fallen and corrupt corporatized world
- Anne-Marie Scott (Independent Consultant) on the OpenETC, Open Source, all the opens
