In this session, we'll have an open conversation about hook-ups, dating apps and what we're looking for from our sexual encounters. * ****Topic: Hook-Ups, apps and sexual expectations**** * Date: Wednesday 25th November, 2026 * Time: 6 - 8pm ****About this session**** Format: Discussion Dating apps have changed the way many of us meet other men, explore attraction and find sexual connections. But navigating profiles, expectations and different ideas about sex can sometimes feel exciting, confusing or challenging.  In this session, we'll have an open conversation about hook-ups, dating apps and what we're looking for from our sexual encounters. We'll explore how we communicate our expectations, handle rejection and navigate situations where what we want might be different from what someone else wants.  * What do we enjoy about using dating and hook-up apps, and what can we find challenging?  ^ * How do we communicate what we're looking for and manage expectations?  ^ * How can we navigate rejection, disappointment or mismatched desires?  Come along for an open and supportive conversation with other gay, bi and trans men aged 40+. Whether you use apps regularly, occasionally or not at all, you're welcome to share your experiences and hear different perspectives. Share as much or as little as you like.  ****About Forty & Beyond Group**** Forty and Beyond is an online peer-support community group for gay, bi and trans men aged 40 and over. We’re here to discuss and look beyond the issues that can keep us isolated and disconnected as we get older.
